Barker Munro Recruitment, a leading Insurance recruitment agency, is working with a fantastic insurance business who are currently looking to add to their Property and Casualty underwriting team with the appointment of a Commercial Underwriter.
About the Role
As a P&C Underwriter you will play a vital role in driving trading results. You’ll be responsible for effectively underwriting large commercial risks within your authority, focusing on mid-market cases, while building and nurturing strong broker relationships that align with our branch objectives. If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional underwriting expertise and fostering key partnerships, this is the opportunity for you to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Effectively underwriting large commercial risks within your authority.
- Focusing on mid-market cases.
- Building and nurturing strong broker relationships.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Commercial Underwriter, you will be able to demonstrate experience of underwriting property and or casualty risks with the ability to trade with brokers in order to grow your book of business. Your knowledge and experience will have ideally come from an insurer background but there is a consideration that this experience could also come from commercial broking.
