Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Technician Peterborough | Permanent | £35,000 - £39,000 Two Positions Available
An established commercial vehicle engineering business is seeking experienced Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Technicians to join its growing team in Peterborough.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with backgrounds in commercial vehicle body repair, coachbuilding, vehicle conversions, trailer repair, panel beating, welding, or fabrication.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting damaged commercial vehicles and trailers
- Repairing or replacing body panels and structural components
- Carrying out panel beating, straightening, and alignment work
- Fabricating replacement panels and sections as required
- Completing MIG welding and general fabrication tasks
- Preparing repaired surfaces through sanding, filling, and priming
- Undertaking trailer repairs and refurbishment work
- Recording completed work and conducting final quality inspections
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in vehicle body repair, panel replacement, welding, or fabrication
- Competent MIG welding skills and experience using workshop power tools
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong practical and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A qualification in Vehicle Body Repair, Welding, Fabrication, or a related discipline would be advantageous; however, candidates with strong hands-on experience are equally encouraged to apply.
