Are you a skilled technician with a strong mechanical background and experience working with commercial vehicles or fleet maintenance?

Our client is looking for a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join their busy fleet operation. Working as part of a supportive workshop team, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing repairs to a high standard, keeping accurate records, and ensuring vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently.

This role offers both early and late shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs, and modifications
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately
  • Complete diagnostic checks and ensure repairs are carried out correctly
  • Complete job cards, service records, timesheets, and other documentation accurately
  • Develop additional technical skills through ongoing training
  • Attend customer sites when required

Who They’re Looking For:

  • Experience in mechanical engineering, vehicle maintenance, or a similar environment
  • Relevant NVQ, mechanical engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience
  • Mechanical and electrical repair experience
  • Ability to diagnose faults and read wiring diagrams and technical information
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible approach to working at different locations when required
  • Able to participate in both early and late shift patterns
