3-month contract role with a local authority
Summary
This is a 3-month contract role with a local authority, aimed at driving the growth of the commercial waste service. The position involves generating new business, increasing revenue, and fostering strong relationships with local businesses. The focus is on promoting waste and recycling solutions while ensuring high levels of customer service and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, and client visits.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets to contribute to revenue growth.
- Promote commercial waste services and convert leads into long-term contracts.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and expand existing customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Provide tailored advice on waste management and recycling solutions.
- Monitor service performance and resolve customer issues promptly.
- Retain customers by delivering excellent service and identifying improvements.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience in waste management, environmental services, or a related sector (desirable).
- Experience managing and developing client relationships.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
