Purpose of the Role

To support our client and 3rd party companies in facilitating all commercialisation activity at centre level.

Key Responsibilities

  • To coordinate the full delivery process from implementation to removal of new commercial projects at centre level including but not limited to media, vending, service, mall kiosks, promotions, and pop ups.
  • To proactively monitor ongoing commercialisation activity to ensure the highest operational standards – especially regarding temporary mall promotions.
  • To administer the collation and approvals of all documentation in a timely manner for the centre’s promotional bookings including licences, health, and safety documents, PLI, fire certificates and PATs and maintain up to date records.
  • To liaise with Centre Director as well as our client/3rd Party operator on a regular basis, as required by the business.
  • To contribute to the achievement of the centre’s commercialisation budget.
  • To conduct local meetings with suppliers regarding space allocations, etc at centre level.
  • To communicate and liaise with Centre Management, Marketing and Asset teams to achieve and exceed budget targets.
  • To build professional relationships with onsite commercial operators and external community bodies with the aim to encourage quality, good customer service and best practice operational standards are consistently adhered to when promoting on the malls.
  • To challenge and improve existing services and facilities through innovation.
  • To work closely with 3rd party operators to agree on acceptable paperwork standards regarding promotions, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly and are effectively communicated by the end of each working day.
  • To work closely with 3rd Party/Savills Finance to ensure all documentation for any commercial activity issued is correct and advise the team of any changes that may occur (including areas such as technical, power, dimensions, etc) so that documents can be amended accordingly and in a timely manner.
  • To produce accurate reports which include but not limited to monthly activity sales data, centre standards checklist, etc, in readiness for Board Meeting at the end of each month.
  • Daily site walks required to ensure all the mall activity and display standards are maintained across all activities.
  • To undertake additional duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Ensuring quality standards on the mall are adhered to and always maintained.
  • Excellent leadership and people skills.
  • People Management skills.
  • Experience in tenant liaison and retailer engagement at a head office and local level.
  • A proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, the media and third parties.
  • A proven ability of managing agencies and the ability to work across multi-agency briefs.
  • Ability to use full range of Microsoft applications including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • A proven ability to manage workload commitments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing to a good standard.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and confidently contribute to team meetings.
  • Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to working patterns in order to respond to the demands of a retail and leisure environment.
  • Strong event management skills.
  • Be flexible with working hours.
  • Be fully aware of the importance of Health & Safely implications surrounding events.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection Legislation.
  • Broad understanding of Health & Safety principles in relation to event Crisis Management and customer safety.
