Commercialization Manager - Sale Synergy

Overview

Mastercard is advancing its digital assets strategy through the integration of BVNK to unlock new commercial opportunities across payments, settlement, and money movement. We are seeking a Commercialization Manager to lead the design and execution of the sales integration and commercialization strategy across Mastercard use cases.

This role will be critical in establishing the sales operating model, go-to-market (GTM) motions, and revenue synergies across Settlement, Mastercard Move, MTN (Pay & Receive), Card Issuance, and future opportunities while ensuring alignment across multiple global sales organizations.

Role

The Sales Synergy Manager will serve as the central orchestrator of Mastercard–BVNK commercialization efforts, responsible for driving alignment cross-functionality to provide visibility on pipeline growth, GTM alignment, and execution discipline across fintech, digital asset, PSP, and FI segments.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Integration & Operating Model

Define and operationalize the Sales Operating Model (SOM) across Mastercard and BVNK, including:

  • Roles and responsibilities across Global Partnerships, Digital Commercialization, Move Commercialization, FI Account Management and Business Development, and PSP sales teams
  • Governance and engagement model between Mastercard sales teams and BVNK sales
  • Establish clear interaction frameworks between:
    • BVNK direct sales (fintech, crypto-native clients)
    • Mastercard sales teams (traditional FIs, PSPs, B2B clients)
  • Ensure alignment across people, processes, and technology supporting joint commercialization

Commercialization Strategy & GTM Execution

Lead development of regional engagement models and GTM roadmaps including:

  • Market prioritization and target segments
  • Customer persona insights
  • Integrated value propositions and bundled solutions Drive priority commercialization efforts across:
  • Settlement
  • Mastercard Move
  • MTN Pay & Receive
  • Card Issuance Translate strategy into repeatable sales plays and use-case-led commercialization

Sales Enablement & Excellence

Develop and deliver sales enablement programs in partnership with Sales Excellence, including:

  • Playbooks, case studies, and solution positioning
  • Internal training and webinars for Mastercard sales teams Partner with Sales Excellence, B2B Marketing, and L&D to:
  • Build digital asset fluency across sales teams
  • Launch coordinated GTM campaigns and joint marketing initiatives
  • Support regional champions to drive adoption and consistency in execution

Commercial Policy, Pricing & Incentives

Drive alignment on:

  • Pricing strategies across BVNK and Mastercard solutions
  • Sales incentive structures to encourage cross-sell and joint selling Establish standardized processes for:
  • Lead generation and qualification
  • Deal structuring and approvals Partner with Finance and P&C to ensure scalable and compliant frameworks

Systems, Tools & Process Alignment

Ensure integration and effective usage of:

  • Salesforce, Seismic, and pipeline tracking dashboards Define pre & post close contracting, billing, and onboarding processes Build data-driven insights to optimize:
  • Sales performance
  • Pipeline health
  • GTM effectiveness

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Coordination

Act as a central connector across key stakeholders, including:

  • Global Partnerships, Digital Commercialization, Move, FI Account Management& Business Development, PSP teams, and Marketing Support joint engagement with:
  • Fintechs and digital asset-native companies
  • PSPs and enterprise clients
  • Traditional financial institutions requiring education and onboarding support

Future Synergies

Identify and incubate synergy opportunities, including:

  • Work with Global Product & Commercialization, Digital Asset Commercialization, and BVNK teams to prioritize emerging opportunities into new commercial models, pilots, and partnerships
  • Contribute to Mastercard’s long-term digital asset commercialization roadmap

All About You

  • Experience in payments, fintech, digital assets, or enterprise commercialization strategy
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Cross-border payments, settlement, and treasury flows
    • Crypto infrastructure and on/off-ramps
    • Card issuing and embedded finance
  • Proven ability to:
    • Build and scale sales operating models and GTM strategies
    • Drive cross-functional alignment across global organizations
    • Deliver measurable revenue impact
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Analytical, structured, and execution-focused with a bias for action

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with stablecoins, tokenization, or blockchain-based payment systems
  • Familiarity with Mastercard products (Move, MTN, issuing, settlement)
  • Experience in sales enablement, marketing, commercial strategy, or post-M&A integration
  • Global experience across multiple regions and regulatory environments
