COMMIS CHEF - HYATT CENTRIC CAMBRIDGE
As a Commis Chef, you'll support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes while developing your skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Working alongside experienced chefs, you'll help prepare and present food to consistently high standards, maintain a clean and organised kitchen, and play an important part in creating a great dining experience for our guests. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for food who is eager to learn, grow and build a successful career in hospitality.
THE STAGE IS SET
The stage is set for something different. We don’t run conventional hotels; we build places with character and intent.
What began as a small UK aparthotel portfolio has grown into a European collection recognised for design and atmosphere - and we’re now entering a new chapter. As we redefine the brand and evolve our identity, we’re focused on creating spaces that feel compelling, contemporary, and truly distinctive. Locke leads with bold expression; Cove by Locke refines that same spirit into a quieter, more streamlined approach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
