This summer, we opened the doors to our fully re-imagined hotel, The Imperial – a new lifestyle offering within our portfolio. With 357 bedrooms, multiple dining venues, a workout studio, and destination rooftop bar, this will be a new beacon, bang in the heart of Bloomsbury, London.
About The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen brigade. You’ll support the preparation and presentation of dishes across multiple sections, helping deliver consistent, high‑quality food that enhances every guest experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with preparation and presentation of meat, fish, pastry, desserts, buffet food and regional dishes.
- Prepare food, materials and equipment in advance for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation.
- Control supplies, minimise waste and follow all company specifications.
- Attend daily briefings and communicate relevant guest or operational feedback.
- Demonstrate service focus by anticipating guest needs and producing quality dishes.
- Maintain high levels of food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance.

Who You Are
- Experience working in a commercial or professional kitchen.
- Level 2 Food Safety and basic allergen training.
- Strong communication skills with good English (CEFR A2–B1).
- Confident IT and MS Office user.
- Bonus: hotel kitchen experience, 3+ years catering experience, Level 3 Food Safety, passion for food.
