Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic Commis chef to join our team at Richmond Hill Hotel, an independent Georgian gem overlooking London's greenest borough. Just a stone's throw from Richmond Park, we're where city buzz meets leafy calm.
Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and their warmth, energy, and creativity have earned us a place on The Sunday Times' and The Caterer's lists of top industry employers. Our culture? Award-winning, progressive, and delightfully independent. The building might be historic, but our thinking isn't. We're refreshingly free-spirited and like to do things differently – from our décor to our people. Here, being yourself isn't just encouraged; it's essential.
We believe real luxury is found in thoughtful touches, genuine care, and attention to detail. That's what makes our guests feel truly special.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
