The DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport is conveniently located within the airport complex, making it an excellent choice for pre-flight stays. It also benefits from excellent transport links to the city centre, whether you're visiting for business or leisure. The hotel offers a range of amenities including an on-site restaurant and bar - Lavelle, room service, a fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, flexible meeting and event spaces, and an airport shuttle service.

We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive and passionate Commiss Chef to join our Truly Talented kitchen team!

What We Offer

  • £26,852.80 per annum plus Tronc (service charge)
  • Permanent, full-time contract (40hrs per week). Must be flexible to work 5/7 days

The Core Skills And Experience Required To Succeed

  • Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry with a genuine passion and a creative flair
  • Team player who communicates well with all colleagues
  • Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
  • Can do attitude
  • Previous experience within the hospitality or service-based industry would be ideal but not essential
  • To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes
  • Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning food
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to hotel standards
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Store food correctly and assist with stock rotation following FIFO procedures
  • Monitor food quality and report any issues to senior chefs
  • Help receive, check, and store deliveries
  • Comply with all food safety, health and safety, and HACCP regulations
  • Maintain equipment and workstations in a clean and organised condition

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
