As we continue to grow across the UK, we're looking for passionate Commis Chefs to join our teams in Covent Garden, Centre Point, Selfridges, and Canary Wharf.
The Role
As a Commis Chef, you'll support food preparation and service across Wok, Dim Sum and other kitchen sections. You'll prepare high-quality Taiwanese, Chinese and Asian dishes while developing your culinary skills and learning Din Tai Fung's recipes and techniques.

What You'll Do
- Prepare fresh ingredients and support daily kitchen operations.
- Assist across Wok, Dim Sum, steaming and other kitchen sections.
- Prepare and cook dishes to recipe, quality and presentation standards.
- Develop skills in Asian, Chinese and Taiwanese cooking techniques.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team during busy service.
- Follow training and develop your skills across multiple sections.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef, Kitchen Assistant, Chef or similar is desirable.
- Passion for cooking and interest in Asian cuisine.
- Good food preparation and knife skills.
- Reliable, hardworking and comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Positive team player with a willingness to learn.
- Wok, Dim Sum, Chinese or Taiwanese cuisine experience is desirable but not essential — full training provided.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays, with some shifts finishing at 10:30 PM.
