Commis Chef (Level 2) Apprenticeship
The position is a full-time role, to include prep, hygiene and service within the company, both at Melmerby and other venues across the UK.
Wage
- £12,480 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

Hours
- 5 days over 7 depending on events
- Prep days in Melmerby are usually 8.30am - 5.30pm, but events vary week to week
- 30 hours a week

- A chance to work in some of the finest houses and event venues in the country, producing high-end food for our clients
- There is the chance to work with some amazing chefs who join us for events and prep. We are all constantly learning from each other and improving what we offer

Training Schedule
Commis Chef Level 2
This will be a fully work-based apprenticeship. The assessor will visit you in the workplace on average once per fortnight
Desirable Qualifications
- GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other Requirements
A driving licence would be an advantage but not necessary.
Yorkshire Party is the North’s premier event catering company. We prepare all of the food at our base unit in Melmerby, Ripon. We cover the whole country for event catering and visit some amazing venues for any type of event from 500 at a cathedral to an intimate dinner party in a private house.
