The Barley Mow on Horseferry Road is home to our London Central Kitchen, this busy Central Production Kitchen in Westminster supports our businesses throughout London, as well as delivering the Barley Mow food menu to customers from the local community and businesses.
About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and driven Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen in Westminster. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their culinary career, who is eager to learn and develop in the fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes to consistently high standards.
- Maintaining cleanliness by helping wash dishes and keeping all sides and surfaces clean during operating hours, following food and hygiene standards.
- Helping ensure stock management systems are followed, helping put deliveries away and following the correct labelling systems.
- Learning and developing skills from the senior chefs and gaining knowledge about kitchen operations.

Requirements
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Being able to work under pressure.
- Flexibility with work shifts, being able to work evenings and weekend.
- Basic cooking skills with relevant experience preferred.

- £12.71 - £14.89 p/ h
- A monthly variable share of the venue service charge, paid through a Tronc scheme in line with the Tipping Act 2023. 100% of our Service Charge goes to our employees and is distributed in its entirety on a monthly basis.
