Job Summary
As a Commiss Chef, you will support the kitchen team in preparing and delivering high-quality food while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen operations. This role is ideal for a passionate and motivated individual looking to develop their culinary skills and gain experience in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of menu items according to company standards.
- Carry out basic food preparation and cooking tasks under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared accurately and efficiently before service.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with receiving, storing, labelling, and rotating stock in line with FIFO procedures.
- Support the kitchen team during service periods to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Help minimize food waste and maintain portion control standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a positive dining experience for guests.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, develop culinary skills, and contribute to a strong team culture.

- Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate
- Food Allergy and Intolerance Training Certificate
