Role Description

This full-time, on-site Commis Chef role is based in Chippenham. The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, assisting with cooking menu items, and maintaining high standards of food presentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Strong food preparation and basic cooking skills, with a willingness to develop broader culinary skills.
  • Good understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety practices, and cleanliness standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a busy, team-focused environment.
  • Interest in building professional culinary skills and learning from senior chefs.
  • Previous experience in a pub, restaurant, or hospitality kitchen is beneficial but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Commitment to delivering consistent quality and supporting an excellent guest experience.
