Commis Chef / Line Cook – Full-Time | Immediate Start. Pot & Rice, Soho.

Pot & Rice is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Commis Chef / Line Cook to join our Pan-Asian kitchen team.
This is a hands-on, cooking-focused role. Your main responsibilities will be preparing, cooking and plating food during service, as well as completing daily prep. As part of a small and supportive kitchen team, you will also help with general kitchen operations when needed—including cleaning and washing up during busy periods or when the Kitchen Porter is not on shift.

What you’ll do
- Prepare, cook and plate dishes during busy service
- Complete daily food prep and mise en place
- Work closely with chefs and support different kitchen sections as required
- Maintain Pot & Rice’s standards for food quality, presentation and consistency
- Follow recipes, portion control, allergen procedures and food-safety standards
- Keep kitchen stations, equipment and back-of-house areas clean and organised
- Help with washing up and general cleaning duties when operationally required
- Receive, label and store deliveries correctly

What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef, Line Cook, Cook or Kitchen Assistant in a busy professional kitchen
- Confident with food preparation and cooking during service
- A positive, practical and team-focused attitude
- Willingness to support across all areas of the kitchen when needed
- Experience or interest in Asian cuisine is a bonus
- Available full-time and able to start ASAP
- Right to work in the UK
