Permanent

Location: Cheshire

Salary: £26,313 per annum

Start date: ASAP

About the Role

You'll join a busy professional kitchen, supporting the wider catering team in the preparation, cooking and presentation of high-quality food. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a genuine interest in food and a willingness to learn, working alongside experienced chefs to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

You'll be expected to maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and organisation at all times, taking pride in your section and contributing to the smooth running of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing ingredients and assisting with the cooking of dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment in line with food hygiene regulations.
  • Supporting senior chefs with stock rotation, storage and basic kitchen administration.
  • Following recipes and portion guidelines accurately and consistently.
  • Assisting with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • A good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
  • A relevant catering or culinary qualification
  • A current food hygiene certificate
