The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our vibrant Kitchen Team.
As a Commis Chef, you will support our chefs in preparing and delivering exceptional dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to develop their culinary skills within a dynamic hospitality environment.
Working closely with the kitchen brigade, you will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, and ensure excellent standards are upheld at all times. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within a leading luxury hotel and develop your career in hospitality.

Key Information
- Salary: £28,200 per annum + Service Charge
- Location: Chelsea Harbour, SW10 0XE
- Hours: 40 hours per week
What We're Looking For
The ideal Commis Chef will have:
- Previous kitchen experience or culinary training within a hotel, restaurant, or similar environment.
- A genuine passion for food and a desire to develop culinary skills.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Support the preparation and organisation of mise en place for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Ensure all food preparation tasks are carried out in line with food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking the quality and freshness of ingredients.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
