About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Commis Chef to join our talented kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their culinary career within a professional and supportive environment.
Working closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef, you will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes while learning and developing your skills across different sections of the kitchen. You will play an important role in maintaining exceptional food quality, hygiene standards, and operational efficiency, helping to deliver an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
What You Will Do
- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in line with established recipes and standards.
- Support senior chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Prepare ingredients and ensure mise en place is completed efficiently for service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept clean and hygienic.
- Follow food safety, health, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Assist with stock rotation, storage, and receiving deliveries.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all kitchen sections.
- Learn new culinary techniques and develop your knowledge under the guidance of experienced chefs.
- Contribute positively to a fast-paced and professional kitchen environment.

What You'll Bring
- A genuine passion for food, cooking, and hospitality.
- Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and eagerness to succeed.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Relevant catering or culinary qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
