Set across five floors, The Tivoli is home to two food kitchens, four bars, indoor golf, shuffleboard, private events and a fantastic roof terrace overlooking Jesus Green. It's busy, energetic and full of variety, making it a brilliant place to start your career in hospitality.

We're looking for a Commis Chef to join our friendly and supportive kitchen team. Whether you're just starting out, have some kitchen experience or are currently studying catering, we'll give you the training, support and hands-on experience to help you become a confident chef.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll learn the ropes alongside our experienced kitchen team, getting involved in every part of a busy kitchen.

  • Preparing fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Learning different cooking techniques and kitchen skills.
  • Supporting the Chef de Partie and wider kitchen team during service.
  • Helping prepare dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Keeping your section clean, organised and ready for service.
  • Learning about food safety, allergens and kitchen standards.
  • Getting involved in new dishes, specials and seasonal menus.
  • Building your confidence across different areas of the kitchen.

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of experience. We're looking for someone with the right attitude who genuinely wants to learn and have fun while they're doing it!

You'll be:

  • Passionate about food and interested in becoming a chef.
  • Keen to learn and develop new skills.
  • Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in.
  • A great team player who enjoys working with others.
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment.
  • Proud of what you do and keen to improve every day.

Previous kitchen experience or a catering qualification is great, but it's not essential. If you've got enthusiasm and the right attitude, we'll help you build the rest.
