Commission-Only Sales Representative / Channel Partner

Location: London and surrounding areas
Working arrangement: Field-based, with regular customer meetings
Compensation: Commission only, with uncapped earning potential

Company Description

Hyperspan is an innovative structured cabling manufacturer developing next-generation copper infrastructure for modern connected environments. At the heart of our portfolio is Hyperspan XR, our extended-reach Cat6 solution engineered to deliver Power over Ethernet and data connectivity over distances of up to 250 metres, far beyond the conventional 100-metre Ethernet channel limitation.

Hyperspan XR enables organisations to connect CCTV cameras, wireless access points, access-control devices, IoT equipment and other networked systems over significantly longer distances without relying on additional switches, repeaters, intermediate cabinets or fibre-to-copper conversions. This can simplify network design, reduce infrastructure requirements, shorten installation times and lower both capital and ongoing operating costs.

Hyperspan is not limited to extended-reach products. We provide a comprehensive end-to-end copper structured cabling solution covering the wider network infrastructure, including:

  • Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Cat7A and Cat8 cabling
  • Extended-reach Hyperspan XR cables
  • Patch panels and patch leads
  • Data outlets, modules and keystone jacks
  • Connectors, couplers and related accessories
  • Cabinets and supporting infrastructure
  • Approved testing and certification processes
  • End-to-end system warranty options

This allows installers, integrators and project partners to source a coordinated, professionally supported cabling system from one manufacturer rather than combining products from multiple suppliers.

Our solutions are designed for commercial, residential and industrial environments and are particularly relevant to security, telecommunications, smart buildings, education, healthcare, hospitality, logistics and large-scale infrastructure projects.

With a UK patent application protecting aspects of our distinctive extended-reach technology, Hyperspan is bringing a differentiated and technically advanced proposition to the structured cabling market. We work closely with installers, consultants, distributors, system integrators and network designers to help them deliver simpler, more efficient and more sustainable infrastructure.

Role Description

Hyperspan is seeking an experienced, well-connected and commercially driven Commission-Only Sales Representative / Channel Partner to develop new business across London and the surrounding market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This opportunity would suit an established independent sales professional who already understands the structured cabling, security, networking, electrical, telecommunications or building-services sectors and can introduce Hyperspan to relevant customers and project partners.

The successful representative will promote both the innovative Hyperspan XR extended-reach range and our wider end-to-end copper structured cabling portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Prospecting installers, consultants, distributors, integrators, contractors and network designers.
  • Introducing Hyperspan products to relevant decision-makers and project stakeholders.
  • Conducting product presentations, technical introductions and practical demonstrations.
  • Developing relationships with customers involved in CCTV, Wi-Fi, access control, IoT, smart buildings and structured cabling.
  • Identifying suitable live projects and opportunities where extended-reach copper can reduce infrastructure, complexity or cost.
  • Promoting Hyperspan’s complete warranted copper system as an alternative to fragmented multi-manufacturer solutions.
  • Managing opportunities from initial introduction through quotation, negotiation and order placement.
  • Maintaining an accurate and active sales pipeline.
  • Responding to commercial and initial technical enquiries, supported by the wider Hyperspan team where required.
  • Supporting new customers through product selection, evaluation, testing and implementation.
  • Building long-term relationships that generate repeat business and wider product adoption.
  • Sharing customer feedback, competitor intelligence and emerging market requirements with Hyperspan.
  • Representing the company professionally at customer meetings, demonstrations and relevant industry events.

What Hyperspan Provides

The representative will be supported with:

  • Product and technical training.
  • Marketing collateral, datasheets and sales presentations.
  • Product samples and demonstration equipment where appropriate.
  • Technical support for customer meetings and project discussions.
  • Assistance with quotations, specifications and solution design.
  • Access to Hyperspan’s expanding structured cabling portfolio.
  • A differentiated proposition capable of opening conversations that conventional cabling products may not.
  • Uncapped commission-based earning potential linked directly to successful sales.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven B2B sales experience, including prospecting, relationship development, pipeline management and closing business.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in both commercial and technical discussions.
  • The confidence to approach new organisations and engage senior decision-makers.
  • An existing network within structured cabling, security, telecommunications, networking, electrical contracting, construction or building services.
  • The ability to understand customer requirements and explain the commercial and technical value of an appropriate solution.
  • Strong customer-service skills and a commitment to building lasting professional relationships.
  • The ability to deliver product introductions, demonstrations and basic partner training.
  • A self-motivated, entrepreneurial approach and the discipline to manage an independent sales territory.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • Confidence using CRM systems, email, video meetings and standard office software.
  • A willingness to work on a commission-only basis and develop earnings through new and repeat business.

Experience selling structured cabling, CCTV, access control, networking products, electrical infrastructure or related technology would be particularly valuable. Relevant technical or vocational qualifications are welcomed but are not essential where the candidate can demonstrate strong industry knowledge, relationships and commercial capability.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to represent a growing UK manufacturer with a distinctive product proposition and an expanding end-to-end cabling portfolio.

Rather than competing solely on the price of standard cable, the successful representative will be able to introduce a solution that can materially change how networks are designed and installed. Hyperspan XR can help eliminate unnecessary active equipment and intermediate infrastructure, while the wider Hyperspan portfolio allows customers to adopt a coordinated copper solution supported by system testing, certification and warranty options.

The role offers considerable freedom to develop new accounts, build channel relationships and create a recurring portfolio of commission-generating business.

If you have strong industry relationships, understand consultative B2B selling and would like to represent an innovative structured cabling manufacturer, we would be pleased to hear from you.
