About us
Dorset Coast Radio is Dorset's newest local radio station, broadcasting 24/7 both locally and online. Firmly rooted in the community, we focus on entertaining our audience while providing local news, information, and stories. Our mission is to support the local community by highlighting its achievements and events. By welcoming local guests and sharing community-focused content, we aim to foster connection and growth across the Dorset area. As a charity we need to look for funds to help us continue to deliver our charitable aims through on air advertising and programme sponsorship.

This is a fully flexible role for an experienced sales executive working on a commission only basis. The role involves identifying and reaching out to prospective clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses, meeting sales targets and selling advertising opportunities tailored to their needs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in sales, including excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effectively building relationships.
- Basic marketing knowledge and an understanding of media or radio advertising is a plus.
- Self-motivation and goal-oriented thinking to achieve and surpass targets in a commission-based environment.
- Organisational skills and time management to handle multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.
- Knowledge of the local Dorset community and local business landscape is highly desirable.
- Alignment with our charitable aims.
