Role Description
The Commission Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with foodservice operators, wholesalers, retailers, and other relevant buyers of frozen seafood. The associate will manage relationships with existing accounts, monitor order volumes, and coordinate closely with operations to ensure timely, accurate deliveries and high customer satisfaction. The role also involves:
- Maintaining sales records
- Reporting performance metrics
- Sharing market feedback to help refine product offerings and sales strategies
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing commercial deals.
- Account management capabilities, with experience in building long-term client relationships and handling customer inquiries and concerns.
- Basic knowledge of food or FMCG supply chains, preferably within seafood or frozen products, and familiarity with B2B wholesale or distribution environments.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present products, discuss pricing structures, and handle contract terms clearly and confidently.
- Comfort working on a commission-based compensation model, with a goal-oriented mindset and ability to work independently on-site.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining accurate CRM or sales records and planning client visits efficiently.
- Proficiency in standard office and communication tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM systems) and willingness to learn company-specific platforms.
- Prior sales experience in foodservice, hospitality, wholesale, or related sectors is highly beneficial; experience in the UK market is an advantage.
- Ability to travel within the London Area and occasionally beyond, as needed, to meet customers and attend industry events.
- Relevant education or training in sales, business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if supported by strong practical experience.
