Role Summary

The Commission Sales Associate drives business growth by identifying and closing new B2B accounts for Card Transact’s payment solutions. This full-time, remote, mid-level role focuses on high-volume merchant acquisition, where success is defined by consistent monthly sales performance. As a commission-based reseller, you serve as the primary link between small businesses and our streamlined card processing tools, helping them optimize their transaction workflows.

Work Setup & Collaboration

  • High Autonomy: Operate with 100% independence in a fully remote environment, managing your own schedule and outreach strategy.
  • Small Team Dynamics: Collaborate asynchronously with a lean team of under 10 people, utilizing CRM tools for reporting and pipeline transparency.
  • Compliance & Integrity: Adhere to financial services industry standards regarding merchant documentation and transparent pricing disclosures.
  • Professional Environment: Requires a dedicated home-office setup and reliable high-speed internet for consistent virtual client engagement.

What You'll Do

  • Execute outbound prospecting to identify and qualify high-potential B2B leads across various retail and service industries.
  • Conduct virtual discovery meetings to assess merchant pain points and current payment processing limitations.
  • Present tailored solutions highlighting next-day settlement, 24/7 support, and transparent pricing models.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial cold outreach through to contract signature and account closing.
  • Maintain pipeline velocity by performing rigorous follow-ups and overcoming common merchant objections.
  • Ensure data integrity by documenting all lead interactions and deal stages accurately within the CRM.
  • Coordinate with onboarding teams to facilitate a smooth transition for new merchants into the Card Transact ecosystem.
  • Drive self-generated growth by leveraging networking and referral strategies to meet monthly sales volume targets.

Success Indicators

  • Sales Volume: Consistently secure 5 to 20 new merchant accounts per month.
  • Conversion Rate: Maintain a lead-to-close ratio that aligns with mid-level performance benchmarks.
  • Data Accuracy: Achieve 100% accuracy in merchant application data and CRM record-keeping.
  • Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed monthly commission targets through active and consistent pipeline management.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of outbound B2B sales experience, specifically within a performance-based or commission-driven structure.
  • Domain Knowledge: Proven understanding of card payment processing, POS hardware, or merchant services.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competent in using CRM software, online communication tools (Zoom/Teams), and basic office suites.
  • Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial products and close deals with business owners.
  • Self-Management: Highly disciplined and goal-oriented with the ability to work productively without daily supervision.
  • Communication: Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for effective async and sync collaboration.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Existing Network: A current book of business or established contacts within the small-to-medium business (SMB) sector.
  • Fintech Background: Prior experience working for a high-growth SaaS or financial technology startup.
