Role Overview
The Air Commissioning Assistant will support commissioning engineers in carrying out commissioning, balancing, testing, and reporting across multiple project sites. The assistant will travel with a commissioning engineer to different sites as required to help carry out commissioning works, take measurements, set up equipment, maintain site records, and support the completion of project commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to multiple client or project sites alongside a commissioning engineer to assist with air commissioning activities.
- Assist commissioning engineers with air flow measurements, balancing, and system checks on ventilation and air distribution systems.
- Help set up, carry, and maintain commissioning equipment, instruments, and site materials.
- Maintain good housekeeping and ensure equipment is returned, stored, and cared for correctly.
- Record readings accurately and assist with preparing commissioning documentation and reports.
- Follow method statements, risk assessments, site rules, and company health and safety procedures.
- Support troubleshooting activities by reporting observations, access issues, installation defects, or system performance concerns to the commissioning engineer.
- Liaise professionally with site teams, contractors, and client representatives when required.

Candidate Requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel to different sites as required.
- Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn technical commissioning processes.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and record information accurately.
- Basic understanding of construction sites, building services, HVAC, or ventilation systems is desirable but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence: Preferred
- Right to work in the UK: Required

Working Pattern and Travel
This is a mobile role and is not based at one fixed site. The commissioning assistant will travel to multiple client or project sites to support the commissioning engineer in carrying out air commissioning works. Start times, finish times, and site locations may vary depending on project requirements.
