BMS Commissioning Engineer

We are supporting one of the biggest BMS specialists in the UK, who are hiring for a BMS Commissioning Engineer. This opportunity is a London based position working five days onsite, paying up to £75,000 per year.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with major end clients across high-profile, technically demanding environments, while gaining hands-on exposure to leading BMS technologies and some of the most advanced building control projects in the market. This technical role focuses on designing, configuring and supporting systems that control and monitor building services, including HVAC, lighting and energy usage. You’ll work on commercial projects, combining BMS software engineering with systems integration, commissioning and fault diagnosis.

You’ll design and configure BMS software, programme HVAC control strategies and integrate building systems using protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and KNX. Your responsibilities will also include creating and enhancing BMS graphics and supervisor interfaces, carrying out point commissioning, system adjustments and fault diagnosis in live buildings, and optimising system operation to improve energy efficiency and meet regulatory requirements. You’ll maintain consistent project documentation, support standardisation across the business and build relationships with customers, suppliers, vendors and subcontractors. You’ll also undertake risk reviews and uphold high standards of health, safety, environmental management and quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
