Commissioning Engineer – Data Centres / Critical Power

Outside IR35

East London

6 month initial contract with extensions likely

Key experience required:

  • Experience commissioning diesel generators and critical power systems
  • Data centre, power generation or industrial commissioning background
  • Strong electrical knowledge across LV/HV systems and switchgear
  • Experience with generator controls, synchronisation and load testing
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and commissioning documentation
  • Experience with SAT, functional testing and client handover
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently on site

  • Carry out commissioning and testing of critical power systems
  • Complete generator start-up, synchronisation and load testing
  • Support SAT, functional testing and final handover activities
  • Identify and resolve electrical and control system faults
  • Work with clients, project teams and equipment suppliers
  • Complete commissioning reports and test documentation
  • Ensure works are delivered safely and to project requirements
