BMS Commissioning Engineer

Our publicly listed, global client is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join their commissioning team in London, working with systems including Trend and Tridium on major commercial projects.

Commissioning and Testing

  • Carry out comprehensive commissioning of BMS systems, including integration with HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
  • Ensure accurate installation and operation of all system components in line with design specifications.
  • Perform thorough functional testing and validation to meet performance and compliance standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during the commissioning process.

Technical Support and Expertise

  • Program and configure BMS systems using Trend or Tridium platforms.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to installers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure seamless integration with other building services.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Generate and maintain commissioning records including test reports, checklists, and as-built documentation.
  • Provide clear updates and reports to project and commissioning managers.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and reflective of the final installation.

Requirements

  • Solid technical expertise in BMS systems and components.
  • Proficiency in fault-finding and issue resolution.
  • Experience with commissioning tools and software.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency in BMS system commissioning.
  • Analytical problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High standards for accuracy and reporting.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to support and collaborate on-site.
  • Willingness to travel to sites throughout London.
  • Physically able to access and inspect installations (including working at height and in confined areas).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
