Key Responsibilities
Testing & Commissioning:
- Execute commissioning activities from CxL1 through CxL5 in accordance with design intent, standards, and client requirements.
- Support coordination between Client, General Contractor, CxA, PMO, Vertiv Engineers, and on-site teams.
- Apply knowledge across electrical systems (UPS, LV boards, generators, PQM, AHF, etc.) and mechanical systems (CDUs, FWUs, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, pumps).
- Assist in troubleshooting during CxL2–CxL5 phases and help document root causes.
- Review design drawings, schematics, and vendor docs to verify commissioning scope.
- Develop and execute electrical, mechanical, and integrated system test scripts.
- Attend pre-customer testing and equipment FAT/SAT activities.
- Liaise with customer commissioning agents as directed.
- Work with Service teams to execute start-up and commission scripts.
- Prepare test reports and documentation with support from document control.
- Participate in facility walk-throughs and punch list reviews with the Project Management team.
Documentation & Customer Support:
- Provide evidence that equipment is installed, tested, and functioning correctly.
- Support QA/QC checks during installation, start-up, and testing.
- Help maintain positive customer relationships and schedule adherence.
- Assist in preparing daily commissioning status reports for stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:
- Provide feedback on processes and improvements using Vertiv Operating System (VOS) tools.
- Support development of commissioning best practices and mentor junior engineers/graduates as needed.
WHS, Environment & Quality:
- Comply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.
- Promote a safety-first culture in the workplace.

Main contacts outside the Company: Customers, Customer Commissioning Agents, Builders, Contractors
Education/Qualification:
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
Specialist Knowledge:
- Ability to test dry contact alarms and understand alarm/control integration
- Knowledge of BMS integration with 3rd-party systems via dry contacts and IP monitoring
- Hands-on experience with UPS and HVAC systems
Practical Experience:

3–5+ years of experience in data centre commissioning or related critical infrastructure
Personal Characteristics:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused attitude
- Team player with ability to contribute to high-performing teams
