The Role

As a Commissioning Environmental Engineer, you will be integral to ensuring the project’s environmental safety and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining environmental controls
  • Monitoring performance
  • Providing assurance on legal adherence
  • Engaging with multidisciplinary teams to embed environmental considerations into daily operations
  • Undertaking risk assessments
  • Contributing to emergency preparedness

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven in-depth understanding of UK environmental legislation, permits, and waste management frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in environmental risk assessments, safety inspections, and assurance activities.
  • Strong knowledge of groundwater, surface water, and soil assessment and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports and provide practical, technical environmental advice.
