Commissioning Home Manager | Montrose Care Home
£60,000 - £70,000 | Up to 40% Annual Bonus | Private Medical Insurance
We’re looking for an experienced Commissioning Home Manager to lead the launch of Montrose Care Home, a new service joining Care Concern Group and an exciting opportunity to create something truly special.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a care home from the beginning — building your team, establishing strong foundations and creating a service where residents feel at home and colleagues are proud to work.
Montrose Care Home will provide high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care for the local community, offering a modern environment designed around the wellbeing, comfort and independence of residents.
As the Commissioning Home Manager, you’ll be at the heart of bringing the service to life. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the culture, develop your team and build strong relationships with residents, families, commissioners and the wider community.
The Opportunity
You’ll lead every stage of Montrose’s commissioning journey, from mobilisation and recruitment through to opening, occupancy growth and long-term success.
Working closely with our experienced operational and support teams, you’ll have the backing and resources needed to establish a successful service and deliver outstanding care from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
