⚡ ELECTRICAL CXM | ACTON, LONDON | £750–£850/DAY

GC SIDE | DATA CENTRE | CONTRACT

A major data centre project in Acton, London is looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager (CXM) to take ownership of electrical commissioning through to IST and handover.

This is a GC-side leadership role for someone who knows how to drive commissioning on a live project — not just manage paperwork.

🔧 YOUR ROLE

You’ll lead and coordinate the electrical commissioning process, working closely with subcontractors, vendors, the CxA and wider project team to ensure systems are tested, witnessed and handed over safely and correctly.

⚡ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead electrical commissioning activities from L1–L5
  • Develop and manage commissioning programmes and schedules
  • Coordinate electrical subcontractors, vendors and specialist commissioning teams
  • Review commissioning procedures, test scripts, RAMS and technical documentation
  • Manage testing and witnessing of critical electrical systems
  • Coordinate with the CxA and client teams ahead of testing activities
  • Drive commissioning readiness and ensure systems are prepared for testing
  • Identify, manage and close out commissioning issues and defects
  • Support and lead Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
  • Monitor progress against programme and report commissioning status
  • Ensure commissioning is delivered in line with project, quality and H&S requirements
  • Drive documentation, test records and final handover

  • Strong electrical commissioning background
  • Previous data centre / mission critical experience
  • Proven experience operating at CXM / Commissioning Manager level
  • Strong understanding of L1–L5 commissioning and IST
  • Experience managing subcontractors and specialist vendors
  • Confident dealing with clients, CxA teams and senior project stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of critical electrical systems and data centre environments
  • UK right to work
