Commissioning Manager - Data Centre

Location: Slough, UK

Employment Type: Contract/ Freelance

Sector: Data Centres / Mission Critical

I am seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Slough. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, and associated systems through to successful handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all commissioning activities on site.
  • Coordinate commissioning teams, subcontractors, and specialist vendors.
  • Ensure systems are commissioned safely and in line with project requirements.
  • Review commissioning plans, procedures, and test documentation.
  • Lead system testing, integrated systems testing, and client witness testing.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and drive commissioning milestones.
  • Ensure all commissioning records and handover documentation are completed.

  • Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on data centre, mission critical, or large-scale MEP projects.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical commissioning knowledge.
  • Experience managing commissioning programmes through to handover.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
