Laser Mechanical & Electrical is looking for an experienced M&E Commissioning Manager to join our team on a fast-paced education project in Hackney, with approximately six weeks remaining until Practical Completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated commissioning professional who thrives under pressure and has the experience to drive a complex project through its final commissioning, testing and handover stages. A Mechanical bias is preferred, however applicants with strong M&E commissioning experience will also be considered.

The Role

You will take ownership of all commissioning activities, ensuring programme-critical milestones are achieved and the project is successfully delivered to Practical Completion.

  • Managing all Mechanical & Electrical commissioning activities.
  • Coordinating specialist subcontractors and commissioning engineers.
  • Driving programme-critical works and resolving commissioning issues.
  • Managing commissioning documentation, QA records and certification.
  • Coordinating witness testing with the client, consultants and Building Control.
  • Leading commissioning meetings and reporting progress to the project team.
  • Supporting the successful handover of the project.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as an M&E Commissioning Manager.
  • Strong Mechanical & Electrical commissioning knowledge (Mechanical bias preferred).
  • Experience delivering projects through to Practical Completion.
  • Excellent communication, coordination and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work within demanding programmes and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • CSCS Card (Management level preferred).
  • SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred).
  • Must have the legal Right to Work in the UK.
