Commissioning Manager (Adult Social Care) | Up to £54,495 | Flexible Working

Salary: £50,269 - £54,495
Hours: Full time / Part time / Flexible
Rochdale’s Integrated Commissioning Directorate is growing, and we are recruiting two Commissioning Managers to help shape the future of Adult Social Care in Rochdale. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and ambitious environment, where you will help develop services that are person-centred, preventative, outcome-focused and responsive to local need.
About the role:
As a Commissioning Manager, you'll lead commissioning programmes that respond to population needs, changing demand, and system priorities across Adult Social Care.
- Working closely with providers, partners and stakeholders, you'll drive service improvement, market development and quality assurance while ensuring commissioning activity remains evidence-based, effective and sustainable.
- You'll play a key role in delivering transformation programmes from design through to implementation, helping us build services that meet the needs of Rochdale residents now and in the future.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and driving commissioning activity across Adult Social Care, shaping services and markets
- Understanding need, redesign services and delivering commissioning solutions that make a tangible difference
- Working directly with providers to challenge, support and improve performance, strengthening quality and sustainability across the market.
- Developing and delivering commissioning strategies and plans that respond to changing demand, policy and system priorities.
- Leading programmes of work, balancing pace, complexity and risk to deliver real change in live services.
- Building strong relationships across the council, partners and the wider system to influence, collaborate and get things done.
- Supporting and developing team members, providing guidance and oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery

What we're looking for:
We are looking for people who can build relationships, influence change, work collaboratively with partners and translate strategy into action. You should have experience of Adult Social Care, commissioning activity and market development, but most importantly you will bring an attitude that ensures that people who use services are at the heart of everything you do.
