About The Team & Role

The Children and Families Commissioning Hub is seeking two enthusiastic and organised Commissioning Officers to join our Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the commissioning and monitoring of services that help children, young people and families access the right support at the right time.

The Crisis and Resilience Fund plays a vital role in funding and developing services that build resilience, prevent escalation of need and improve outcomes for children, young people and families across Gloucestershire. As a Commissioning Officer, you will support the effective delivery, monitoring and development of commissioned services, working closely with providers, partners and colleagues across the organisation.

You will play a key role in ensuring services are delivered effectively, represent value for money and achieve positive outcomes. This will involve supporting contract and performance management, using data and insight to inform commissioning decisions, and contributing to service reviews and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the commissioning, procurement and contract management of CRF-funded and related services.
  • Monitoring service performance, outcomes and quality against agreed specifications and performance indicators.
  • Producing reports, dashboards and presentations for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Building effective working relationships with service providers, partners and stakeholders.
  • Supporting compliance, quality assurance, audit and governance requirements.
  • Contributing to projects, service developments and continuous improvement initiatives across the Children and Families Commissioning Hub.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families and who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
