Brunel Job Description
Brunel are seeking an experienced Offshore Commissioning Supervisor (Instrumentation & Automation) to support a major Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project comprising new onshore oil & gas production facilities, multiple pipeline installations, upgrades to existing terminals and offshore platforms, and the delivery of a new-build offshore platform including Jacket and Topside facilities.
Contract Details
- 12-month contract with potential extension
- 28/28 rotational schedule
- Offshore assignment, North Wales
- All-inclusive day rate (no additional expenses)
- Inside IR35
- Mobilisation expected before the end of 2026

Key Responsibilities
- Lead offshore commissioning activities for instrumentation, control, automation and safety systems.
- Coordinate loop checking, functional testing, system validation and start-up activities.
- Supervise contractors and commissioning technicians to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Verify completion of pre-commissioning and commissioning documentation.
- Coordinate interfaces between commissioning, construction, operations and vendor teams.
- Support DCS, ESD, F&G and other integrated control systems testing.
- Ensure commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with project procedures and safety requirements.

Requirements
- Extensive offshore commissioning experience within oil & gas, energy or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, automation and safety systems.
- Experience leading commissioning teams during system start-up and handover.
- Familiarity with offshore platform commissioning and brownfield integration activities.
- Strong understanding of permit-to-work systems and offshore safety practices.
