Commissions Associate

Fixed-Term Contract: 6 Months

Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Hybrid working, 3 days in our Derby office and 2 days working from home following successful completion of training

Up to £26,000 plus benefits

The best work often happens behind the scenes.

At MAB, our Commissions team plays a vital role in making sure advisers and Appointed Representatives receive accurate and timely commission payments.

As a Commissions Associate, you'll be part of the team keeping everything running smoothly, from processing payments and resolving queries to investigating discrepancies and improving processes. It's a role where attention to detail, problem-solving and teamwork make a real difference every day.

Whether you're looking to build on existing experience or take your first step into a finance-focused career, we'll provide the training and support to help you succeed.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and collaborative team where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail are highly valued.

You'll be responsible for supporting the processing and reconciliation of commission payments, managing queries and ensuring information is maintained accurately across our systems. No two days are quite the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the business while developing your understanding of finance operations within a market-leading organisation.

We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. Previous finance experience is beneficial but not essential. Whether you've recently completed your A Levels, graduated with a business or finance-related degree, or are looking to begin a career within a finance environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Processing and reconciling commission payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Supporting the weekly import and validation of commission statements.
  • Liaising with lenders and insurance providers to resolve commission and payment-related queries.
  • Investigating and responding to Zendesk and banking queries within agreed service levels.
  • Working collaboratively with teams across the business to investigate issues and deliver effective resolutions.
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally, providing a high standard of support.
  • Maintaining accurate records across multiple systems.
  • Ensuring tasks are completed in line with internal controls, processes and quality standards.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
