Londonwide LMCs – the membership organisation representing approximately 7,000 NHS General Practitioners in over 1,100 practice teams in London – is looking for a Committee Administrator to provide administrative support to Local Medical Committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of the administrative tasks required to ensure Committee meetings have professional and timely agendas, papers and minutes/action records.
  • Attending Committee meetings to support facilitation of the meetings and ensure accurate record-keeping of meeting content.
  • Supporting Committee Liaison Executives to ensure the smooth planning and running of Committee meetings.
  • Providing cross-cover for Committee Administrators across Londonwide as required.
  • Providing administrative cover for other non-Committee meetings as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent English Language skills demonstrated via A-level or equivalent.
  • Experience of minute taking and administrative management of meetings.
  • Proficient in the use of digital software packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Zoom, etc).
  • Knowledge of General Practice or broader health systems.
  • Highly motivated and efficient.
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective IT skills, including word processing and databases.
  • Experience of working with committees or membership organisations.

Salary

  • £31,456 per annum + benefits, including 16% pension contribution + flexible working.

Contract and Hours

  • Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week).

Location

  • London, with regular flexible/remote working arrangements supported.
