The Role

Working within the Portfolio function, you will be responsible for providing analytical and commercial support across LNG portfolio management, market intelligence, economic evaluations and business planning activities. You will help drive strategic decision-making by analysing global LNG market developments, maintaining commercial models, evaluating tender opportunities and supporting portfolio optimisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing economic and commercial models used to support business decisions and bid evaluations.
  • Providing market intelligence and analysis on global LNG markets, including pricing, supply and demand fundamentals, trade flows and customer activity.
  • Supporting LNG sales portfolio planning and optimisation activities.
  • Conducting economic analysis and commercial evaluations for tenders, sales opportunities and portfolio decisions.
  • Producing revenue forecasts and scenario analysis.
  • Supporting risk management processes and portfolio impact assessments.
  • Preparing reports, presentations and materials for senior management and governance committees.
  • Assisting with annual business planning activities and commercial strategy reviews.
  • Coordinating key performance reporting and business performance analysis.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on pricing-related matters.
  • Working closely with commercial, finance, shipping and external market intelligence providers.

  • Experience within LNG, natural gas, energy trading, commodities, corporate planning, commercial economics or portfolio analysis.
  • Strong economic modelling and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Experience conducting commercial evaluations, forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Knowledge of LNG markets, pricing mechanisms and portfolio optimisation principles.
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience managing large datasets and market intelligence information.
