Fuel your passion

As a Commodity Lead, you will lead sourcing activities within a defined categories and projects, driving supplier performance and cost optimization. You will support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with category plans and business objectives.

As a Commodity Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Category Management: Owning and managing assigned spend categories, developing and executing sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Supplier Selection & Contracting: Leading supplier selection processes, negotiate commercial terms, and manage contract creation, execution, and compliance.
  • Requisition Management: Converting internal purchase requisitions into accurate and timely purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Order Tracking: Monitoring open orders and proactively, follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve any delays or issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, align procurement strategies, and ensure category plans support operational goals.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance, innovation, and value delivery.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conducting quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers to assess performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitoring market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform sourcing decisions and ensure competitiveness.
  • Cost Management: Driving cost savings and value creation initiatives through effective negotiation and supplier collaboration.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations, managing risks within the supply base.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of supplier communications, quotations, and order confirmations.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor’s degree in Business.
  • Hold MCIPS accreditation or working towards or US equivalent
  • Have 3–5 years of experience in sourcing or category management.
  • Have strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
