Commodity Trader / Junior PM — Metals & Agricultural Commodities
London | Dubai | Remote
A well-capitalised commodity multi-strategy fund is looking to add a trader - discretionary or systematic - in base, precious metals or agricultural commodities - possibly someone operating as a number two within a pod, ready to trade their own book or expand their existing mandate.
This is a principal seat. Comp is a serious percentage of the P&L you generate - starting at 20% profit share, scaling higher through performance hurdles as the book builds.
The Firm
A seasoned commodity trading operation with deep expertise across either metals, ags, softs or potentially energy. Active in derivatives across all major exchanges, with a growing physical metals capability and the credit lines, warehouse access and operational infrastructure to support it. Global reach, lean structure, and very little bureaucracy - they can move quickly when they find the right person.

What They're Looking For
A trader with a demonstrated ability to generate consistent P&L across different market environments - not someone whose track record is defined by a single macro event. Directional, relative value, prop and systematic styles are all on the table.
The ideal candidate has:
- 5-15 years in commodity trading
- A verifiable, consistent track record - ideally $2m+ per year over recent years
- Experience as a number two within a pod, or a junior PM looking for more capital and autonomy
- Strong risk instincts and active drawdown management
- A clear reason to be looking now

Structure
- Base: industry-competitive, experience-dependent
- Profit share: starting at 20% of P&L, with performance-linked hurdles that increase allocation and payout
- Initial risk allocation scaled to your track record; grows as P&L builds
- Location: London, Dubai, or fully remote initially — the team trades across time zones
Process
Three stages, two of which can be done by phone. Decisions are made at principal level - if there's a fit, they move fast. Target: offers before year-end.
