Role Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, agile mechanical engineer to take on a key technical position within our commercial heating management team. In this role, you will lead CAD management, Common Data Environment (CDE) version control, and Building Safety Act (BSA) Golden Thread compliance.
This role offers an ideal step up for an engineer with hands-on technical experience who is currently completing or has recently completed an HNC and wants to progress toward technical design and compliance leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the CDE, version control, change control processes, and as-built technical drawings in strict alignment with BSA Golden Thread requirements.
- Engage directly with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) regarding notifiable changes, occurrences, and gateway applications.
- Participate in go/no-go stage gate decision meetings and monitor regulatory changes for the wider team.
- Conduct site audits, produce RAG-rated plant room condition reports, and deliver toolbox talks.
- Coach, audit, and support engineers on site while maintaining remote design workflows.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Qualified Mechanical or Commercial Heating Engineer (Minimum ACS or OND/ONC). Progression: Currently completing or recently graduated from an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services. CAD Experience: Minimum 2 years of practical experience with CAD software. Licence: Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points). Skills: Comfortable balancing remote technical work with UK-wide site visits, audits, and client interaction. Desirable: IOSH/NEBOSH health and safety qualifications (training provided if not held).

What We Offer
Salary: c£46,000 – £52,000 per annum (Depending on Experience) Benefits: Company car or car allowance + 25 days paid holiday Fully Funded Qualifications: Sponsorship for CDM, BSA compliance, IOSH, and specialised fossil/renewable systems training. Career Pathway: Clear progression toward becoming a Chartered Commercial Heating Engineer/Designer.
