Job Description

The purpose of this role is to deliver change, communications, and engagement programs that drive measurable improvements in employee engagement and development. This role is to drive employee engagement through developing our internal communications across DAP. This role is primarily driven by improving the workplace, making Dublin Airport a better place to work for all employees. This role serves as a People Ambassador for Dublin Airport by providing a welcoming, informative, and respectful experience for all our employees.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a DAP communication and engagement strategy which delivers on the strategy for Dublin Airport and provides a best-in-class internal communications function.
  • Design and implement communication and engagement initiatives to drive engagement across DAP. Working with other internal communications teams to create and maintain content for employee communication channels.
  • Implement employee engagement metrics reports to measure effectiveness of internal communication channels with the goal of continuously improving internal communications strategy to reach and engage employees.
  • Work with stakeholders to actively manage content on our internal communication channels including the internal website; building innovative ways to drive engagement and communications.
  • Implement an internal communications and engagement calendar for DAP with dates throughout the year to capture key business messages and feedback from staff.
  • Work closely with the senior management team and internal stakeholders to develop clear messaging in support of the business priorities to drive consistent, compelling, and insightful communication across the organisation.
  • Lead the annual engagement survey launch, communication cascades, identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and drive action planning on all engagement activities, working with colleagues to deliver.
  • Design and deliver surveys and other activities to gather regular, relevant, and timely feedback from across DAP to show that the employee voice is listened to.
  • Build trust and ensure that the employee voice is heard and reflected in engagement and communication touch points.
  • Create and deliver internal communications content, including email updates, newsletters, videos, and presentations.
  • Assists HR and the wider team to deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience for each new employee.
  • Manage crisis communications, ensuring all employees are informed and up to date.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant communications experience in a similar position within a fast-paced environment.
  • 3rd level qualification in a business or other related discipline.
  • Outstanding communication skills, effective listening, and an ability to connect with individuals across the organisation.
  • Strong editing and proof-reading skills.
  • Skills in digital publishing and video editing preferable, however training will be provided.
  • Creative flair ability to show evidence of new, innovative, and ‘on trend’ engagement/communications approaches.
  • Strong strategic thinker and evidence of developing and implementing successful internal communications strategies and activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain close working relationships with a range of key operational and corporate internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives.
