Percepo is a growing Newcastle-based company working with international clients and project partners across collaborative research, innovation and technology projects, with a strong focus on European-funded programmes.
The role
We’re looking for a Communications & Project Manager with previous experience in EU-funded projects, communication and dissemination activities.
You’ll be responsible for helping shape and deliver communication and dissemination activities across international projects, while also supporting project coordination, stakeholder engagement, reporting and delivery.
A key part of the position will be developing and maintaining Communication and Dissemination Strategies and Plans, coordinating project communications, managing content and ensuring project activities are delivered in line with funding requirements.
You’ll also work closely with international partners, researchers, technical teams and other stakeholders across European project consortia.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and coordinating communication and dissemination activities across EU-funded projects
- Developing and maintaining Communication and Dissemination Strategies and Plans
- Managing project communication work packages, tasks, timelines and deliverables
- Coordinating with international project partners and stakeholders
- Managing project social media channels, particularly LinkedIn
- Planning and creating content for websites, newsletters, social media and project updates
- Turning complex technical or research information into clear and accessible content
- Supporting dissemination campaigns, stakeholder engagement and project visibility
- Supporting consortium meetings, workshops, conferences and project events
- Contributing to project reporting, documentation and deliverables
- Ensuring communication activities meet relevant EU funding, visibility and dissemination requirements
- Supporting wider project coordination, actions and deadlines

What we’re looking for
We’re particularly interested in candidates with direct experience working on EU-funded projects.
Ideally, you will have experience in several of the following areas:
- Communication and dissemination activities within EU-funded projects
- Communication and dissemination work packages
- Developing formal Communication and Dissemination Strategies or Plans
- Project deliverables and reporting
- EU visibility, communication and dissemination requirements
- Stakeholder engagement
- International consortium coordination
- Managing project communications and social media
- Producing content for technical, research or innovation projects
You should also have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good project management and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines
- Confidence working with international partners and stakeholders
- Confidence presenting and contributing in meetings and workshops
- A proactive and hands-on approach
Previous experience working directly within EU-funded research and innovation projects is strongly preferred and will be a key consideration in the recruitment process.

Working at Percepo
The role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and operates on a hybrid basis, typically with 2–3 days per week in our Newcastle office and flexibility around remote working.
Our projects are international, so the role includes regular travel to European countries for consortium meetings, workshops, conferences and project events. It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys working internationally, meeting project partners in person and spending occasional time in different European locations while keeping Newcastle as their home base.
The role reports directly to the Managing Director.
