We're Hiring: Communication Support Worker (CSW)
Location: Hopwood Hall College – Middleton Campus, Manchester (M24 6XH)
Job Type: Temporary – Sickness Cover
Rate: £28 per hour PAYE / £35 per hour Self-Employed
Start: ASAP
We are currently looking for an experienced Communication Support Worker (CSW) to provide support to students at Hopwood Hall College.
BSL qualification/experience is desirable.
Working Hours:
We have two schedules available:
Schedule 1: First week
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Thursday evening course: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Schedule 2: Second week
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 4:15 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 4:15 PM
Please ensure you are available for the relevant schedule before applying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide communication support to students during lessons and college activities.
- Help students fully access and participate in their learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff and other support professionals.
- Use appropriate communication methods, including BSL where required.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Communication Support Worker or in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting students in an educational environment.
- BSL skills/qualification (desirable).
- A reliable, professional and flexible approach.
