Are you looking to begin or develop a career in communications, content or marketing?
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Communications team at St Edward’s Oxford, one of the UK’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Communications and Content Assistant to help capture and share life at St Edward’s across digital and print channels. The role offers genuine variety, from creating newsletters and social media content to photography, video, website updates, design work and supporting school events. It could particularly suit a recent graduate looking to build their experience within communications and marketing, with scope for development within the team.
Working closely with colleagues across the School, you will help produce engaging content that showcases St Edward’s, supports pupil recruitment and keeps the wider school community informed. Your responsibilities will include producing the weekly e-newsletter, helping create social media content, photographing and filming events and activities, contributing to the website, producing simple graphics and supporting the development of print and digital marketing materials. Training will be provided in areas including WordPress, Canva, Photoshop and InDesign where required.

About you
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have a basic understanding of print, social and digital media, together with excellent written English and a strong grasp of grammar. You will be organised, accurate and comfortable managing several projects and deadlines at once.
Experience of WordPress, Canva, Mailchimp or Adobe Creative Suite would be advantageous. We are particularly interested in someone with enthusiasm for communications, strong attention to detail, a collaborative approach and the confidence to build positive working relationships with colleagues.
The role requires flexibility, as occasional photography, filming or events may take place outside normal working hours.
