This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements
Curriculum Redefined is one of the University of Leeds' most significant educational transformation programmes and is helping shape the future of student education across the institution.
Following the successful redesign of more than 780 taught programmes, the programme is entering a new phase. Over the next two years, the focus will shift from large-scale curriculum redesign to embedding change, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring the benefits of the programme are realised consistently across the University.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications and engagement professional to help shape that transition. Working with senior leaders, academics, professional services colleagues and students, you will help make progress visible, build understanding and engagement, and support colleagues as Curriculum Redefined becomes part of everyday practice across the University.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will play a key role in communicating how Curriculum Redefined connects with wider institutional priorities, including academic transformation, educational enhancement and service improvement. Through strategic communications, engagement activity, leadership communications and digital content, you will help colleagues understand not only what is changing, but why it matters and how it contributes to a more student-centred university.

You will bring strong digital and content design expertise and be comfortable using audience insight, user needs and user stories to shape effective communications and engagement activity.
