Communications and Engagement Manager
The University of the West of England (UWE) is seeking a creative and experienced Communications and Engagement Manager to lead the development and delivery of communications, engagement, and knowledge-exchange activities across DRAGoN’s ambitious programme of data and analytical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and launch a new Digital Knowledge and Community Hub, creating an accessible and engaging focal point for DRAGoN’s research, data resources, analytical tools, guidance, and learning materials.
- Lead the development and implementation of DRAGoN’s communications and engagement strategy.
- Manage DRAGoN’s digital and social media presence.
- Develop innovative ways of communicating complex research to diverse audiences.
- Lead a varied programme of workshops, seminars, conferences, stakeholder roundtables, and networking activities.
- Help build an active community around DRAGoN’s work and strengthen connections between research, policy, and practice.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and highly organized communications and engagement professional with:
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong digital expertise.
- Experience of engaging diverse audiences.

- Interviews are scheduled to take place at our Frenchay Campus on 16 October 2026.
- This is a fixed-term post until 31/03/2031, and is part-time working on a 0.5 FTE contract.
- Salary offers are made in line with the University’s salary assessment guidelines, reflecting your relevant skills and experience in parity with colleagues.
