Across the Diocese of Newcastle, churches are at the heart of their communities—offering hope, practical support and a place of welcome through every stage of life. Behind this ministry is the generosity of all those whose giving enables churches to continue making a lasting difference.

We're looking for a creative and motivated Communications and Engagement Officer (Voluntary Giving) to inspire greater generosity by strengthening relationships with supporters and telling powerful stories that demonstrate the real impact giving makes in people's lives and communities.

Working as part of a passionate and collaborative team, you'll:

  • Create engaging content across a range of channels
  • Develop inspiring communications
  • Build relationships with churches and communities across the diocese
  • Meet people whose lives have been transformed through local ministry, capturing authentic stories that bring our mission to life and inspire others to support it

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
